Account settings
Manage your account including appearance, chat settings and the email addresses associated with your account.
Account settings
Choose whether to automatically switch between light and dark mode when your system does or to set the default yourself.
To switch between light mode and dark mode:
- 1.Go to the top right corner and click on your profile photo
- 2.Select Account settings
- 3.Under appearance choose whether to sync with OS settings or set the default appearance yourself

Enter to send a message or cmd Enter.To adjust your chat settings:
- 1.Go to the top right corner and click on your profile photo
- 2.Select Account settings
- 3.Under chat settings, use the toggle to select the keyboard shortcut you'd like to use to send a message on chat
Add additional email addresses to your account to make it easier for people to find you. It also allows you to join organizations that have a specific email domain associated with them.
Only your primary email address will be visible on your profile.
To add or remove email addresses from your account:
- 1.Go to the top right corner and click on your profile photo
- 2.Select Account settings
- 3.Under email addresses, add or remove the email addresses that you want associated with your account
Share your referral link with people in your network. If they sign up using your referral link and become a customer on our Standard or Enterprise plan, both of you will receive a $100 gift card.
To access your referral link:
- 1.Go to the top right corner and click on your profile photo
- 2.Select Account settings
- 3.Under referral link, copy the link to send to people in your network
If you don't want to see the list of channels and chats, you can collapse the side panel of Threads anytime.
